The licensed professionals of the Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority continually strive to stay abreast of issues that are new and relevant in the water and wastewater industry. The RCWSA is an active member of the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP). As a noted authority in the industry on finance, General Manager, Brendan Thompson, has served on GAWP’s Utility Finance & Management Committee since its inception. The purpose of this committee is to provide a forum for management and finance related topics including user charges, fees, and rates; financial planning; project management; capital planning; asset management; and similar issues. The RCWSA is also a member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA). The AWWA is the largest nonprofit, scientific and educational association dedicated to managing and treating water. The Georgia Rural Water Association (GRWA) is a non-profit organization representing rural systems throughout the State of Georgia in regard to drinking water and wastewater needs. Active Members consist of public and non-public water and wastewater systems. www.grwa.org
