AJ is All About Family!

Adam (AJ) Miles, one of the Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority’s (RCWSA) essential Distribution and Collection Systems crew members, is happy to be a part of both the RCWSA and the greater Rabun County Community. AJ grew up just over the mountain in Hiawassee, where he still has lots of family, and then moved to Copper Hill in Polk County Tennessee, just north of Blue Ridge. As a “small-town kid,” he appreciates life in a close-knit community and his ability to have a positive local impact through his work. He attended Copper Basin High School where he played a little baseball and a LOT of football, learning the importance of hard work and teamwork along with his academics.

He came to join the RCWSA though family friends, Sam and Traci Adams. Everyone knows “Big Sam,” our local tree expert, and Traci just happens to be the Finance Manager here at the RCWSA. Both gave him a stellar referral and are we ever glad they did! AJ has proven himself to be a champ in the field, helping provide exceptional service to customers both with his strong arms and strong work ethic. He has learned a lot on the job and enjoys his position not only for the impact he is able to have in the community, but also for the team atmosphere he and his coworkers share. In his own words, “I feel like I am part of something and have a career, not just a job.”

At home, AJ and his wife Caitlynn are the proud parents of two adorable little boys, Knox, who’s a precocious 2 ½, and River, who’s 4 months old and his brother’s best little buddy. Caitlynn is currently taking classes online while she stays home to be with the boys. Good luck and kudos to Caitlynn! We wish her and AJ all the best with their new family and are so glad they are part of ours!
