Meet the Crew! Kait & Sam
Kait & Sam are quite a team! Together, they take care of operations at our Stekoa Wastewater Reclamation Facility. The RCWSA has some exciting and much-needed plans for upgrading this facility in the near future and we are glad to have them onboard to help usher in those changes.
Kait Gibson is a water and wastewater professional with nearly seven years of hands-on experience. Originally from Habersham County, she holds an Associate’s degree in Environmental Science and a strong commitment to protecting natural resources.
Kait began her career with the Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority, where she quickly developed a passion for safeguarding public health and serving her community. She holds multiple licenses including: Water Operator Class I, Water Lab Analyst, Wastewater Operator Class II, and Wastewater Lab Analyst, giving her a well-rounded edge in both plant operations and laboratory analysis.
After spending three years with the City of Thomson’s Water Department, Kait is excited to return to the Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority, where she now works at the Stekoa Wastewater Reclamation Facility. She brings a focused, hands-on approach to her work and takes pride in supporting the systems that keep her community running.
Sam Adams is a licensed Class III Wastewater Operator with a strong foundation in environmental stewardship and public service. A 2020 graduate of Rabun County High School, he is proud to have grown up in Rabun County and remains committed to supporting the community he calls home.
Known for his reliability and hands-on approach, Sam plays an important role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of wastewater systems. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys playing golf and basketball and actively contributes to his community as a recreational league football coach.
As you can see, Kait & Sam pack a one-two punch and bring a lot to the table. We are glad to have them working with us and for you at the RCWSA!
